Answer: There are many things you need to do, the most important of which is to delete the tape. Your carpet is held in place with glue and the floor is definitely looking tired, so you’ll need to clean the floor once you’ve removed everything.
How To Remove Carpet Glue From Hardwood Floor
Carpet tape is made from thin plywood strips. The strips have angled edges that face the walls, so the pins hold the carpet in place when the carpet is stretched. The anchor tape is nailed to the floor around the perimeter of the room, leaving a small gap between the tape and the wall to push the carpet into the gap. The tips of the blade are sharp and sturdy, so wear thick gloves or wait for the gloves to stick.
